Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has for a long time been interrelated with Bingo. This is because the Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for ages. Patrons from all of the surrounding states load up in vehicles and visit Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo for the weekends.
The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a precedent setting ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. Since that time, 23 of the 39 Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the initial Oklahoma American Indian band to take advantage of the betting restrictions, and today operate 10 gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. automated games like slot machines were not approved, due to the fact that they’re believed to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma rules have changed to allow for enormous Native betting gambling halls. You will now see Amerindian gambling halls with slot machines, video poker and chemin de fer tables. Craps and roulette are still not authorized in the Amerindian gambling halls yet, although this is just a waiting game. Nobody can determine whether having other casino games in the bingo houses will do for the draw of bingo.
