Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. This is due to the fact that the Indian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for many years. Patrons from many of the surrounding states pile in vehicles and travel to Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a benchmark decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. From that time, twenty three of the 39 Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have introduced gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the gambling laws, and at this time operate 10 gambling dens of their very own. Bingo is the game on which these casinos were founded. Electronic games such as slots were not authorized, on the grounds that they are thought to lead to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma rules has changed to allow for gigantic Amerindian betting gambling halls. You’ll now see Indian gambling dens with slots, video poker and vingt-et-un tables. Craps and roulette are still not allowed in the American Indian gambling dens as of yet, but that is just a matter of time. No one can say with whether having other games in the bingo parlors will do for the appeal of bingo.
