Bingo in Oklahoma

Oklahoma has long been interrelated with Bingo. That is due to the fact that the Indian tribes of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for many years. Guests from each of the neighboring states load up in automobiles and visit Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo over the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) was introduced after a benchmark decree by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year before. Since that time, 23 of the 39 Indian bands located in Oklahoma have established gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma American Indian tribes to take advantage of the gaming rules, and at this time run ten casinos of their very own. Bingo was the game on which these casinos were built on. Electronic games like slot machines weren’t approved, on the grounds that they are believed to contribute to gambling problems more than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma law have altered to allow for gigantic American Indian gaming gambling halls. You’ll now find American Indian gambling halls with slot machines, video poker and 21 tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Indian gambling dens as of yet, however this is just a waiting game. Nobody can say with whether having different gambling den games in the bingo houses will do for the appeal of bingo.
