Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has for a long time been synonymous with Bingo. That’s because the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo sessions for generations. Patrons from every one of the neighboring states load up in trucks and visit Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) followed a landmark ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Indian bands located in Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Native band to take advantage of the gambling laws, and today operate 10 casinos of their own. Bingo is the game on which the above-mentioned gambling dens were founded. Electronic games like slot machine games weren’t permitted, on the grounds that they’re believed to lead to gambling dependency more than bingo.
In the past few years, Oklahoma law have altered to allow for gigantic Native wagering gambling dens. You’ll now find Amerindian gambling dens with slot machines, video poker and vingt-et-un tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Amerindian gambling halls as of yet, but this is only a waiting game. Nobody can authority whether having different gambling hall games in the bingo houses will do for the popularity of bingo.
